Dark Brown to Blonde in one day!

I hated my hair! I love it now. For years I've been longing for golden locks! And now I have them.

I'm going to talk about my experience! 

Around December I realised I disliked myself too much to keep not changing the way I looked. I haven't touched or changed my hair for around 4 years because I wanted really long blonde hair one day. So, finally, I decided to just buck up and do it.

I booked an appointment with Above All, a local Spa\Salon in my area that I totally recommend.

I booked my appointment with a colorist who worked with my sister and my friend before. I was very excited to talk to her because I honestly just knew I wanted lighter - and last minute, I decided I wanted layers! I've never let myself do something like that, it was fun to take a risk. >:)

My hair, besides an inch or so of split ends, was extremely healthy and virgin. I take really intensive care of my hair and I always have, so I was okay with damaging it to get my results... but my wonderful girlfriend Marina told me about Olaplex! God bless her hot body.

Olaplex is a protein protector for your hair that reduces damage as much as possible. Guy Tang and other professional colorists use it! It was a little expensive but it's worth it for me waiting years upon years to do this. 

Even though Olaplex would let me go lighter and still not have straw hair, I didn't want to risk it. I only lifted my hair a few levels to a goldenish blonde color... and believe it or not, I was in the salon for 6 hours.

I'm not exaggerating, I got there around 3:30PM and left around 9:30PM. And I still have to go back for a touch up.

My hair is insane!

I'm so happy with the results! I plan on getting it a little lighter, though, but I'm pleased for now! Hopefully I can start doing fun colors in my hair, too.

I'm going to take better pictures this weekend on my trip to see my girlfriend because I've been really sick since I went. I'm still going to be sick this weekend but who cares!




My hair is ridiculously healthy, even healthier, even though I took it up 4 levels. The Olaplex and already healthy state of my hair really helped, I can't wait to go lighter and keep changing it!
