Leaf me Alone - Fall leftover craft idea.

If you're like me at all you probably force yourself to like fall. Every year you force yourself to get hyped for a season of colors on usually green trees, lots of pumpkin spice, and two holidays that both get worse with age.

So who wants to just waste that money you used to get those seasonal decorations and supplies? I hate wasting money, so not me.

Lets start off with the basics, we're going to be making a simple placard with a suitable statement for this season.

Since this really is a "use anything you have left" kind of project, you really can just use anything you have left.

Target and Pat Catans shopping trip!

Hello my name is Ai and I love checking out new things! Recently, I went to the new Pat Catans that just opened near me. It's a craft store that's been around for awhile, and they sell awesome stuff. I also stopped at a local Target and picked up some goodies!

Everyone has been talking about this.

It's Maybelline's BABY LIPS lip balm. It's been on everyone's summer must-haves, and I can see why after using it. I got it in Quenched and in Pink Punch! They both do different things, and leave a different feeling, but I suggest trying them out because everyone has a different taste in lip balm!

This isn't a newbie, this is a refill!

I love love love love love these Yes to Grapefruit brightening wipes. They make me feel so fresh and at the same time make my skin feel clean! I love the smell, but I don't see any effect yet... of course, with organic and vegan products the wait is longer for results. I suggest them if you don't have time to cleanse during an emergency -- like a sleepover morning and night. They aren't for removing makeup though! And they do dry your skin out.

Oh my gosh I love this line too.

This. Stuff. Smells. So. Good.
People ACTUALLY tell me my face smells nice. Someone smelled my face and said it was good. I use this cleanser, and the mini peel by Alba Botanica (I think that's the line's name), and they smell better than any other facial cleanser I've gotten. Like I said, it's for sensetive skin / it's vegan or organic so results will take a little longer. I don't have sensetive skin but I love the feel of products for sensetive skin!

Time to try out a new deo!

Since Summer is sadly coming to an end, I was hoping to live out the few weeks left with a nice summery scent... but this stuff isn't my cup of tea. It's typical secret deoderant, but the smell is not for me.

Why didn't I try this stuff before?

If you know anything about me, you know I love color... so when I saw this sitting on the shelf I instantly wanted to try it. I'm trying to give up soda in moderation because I have a hard time digesting certain foods without something carbonated, so I've been taking small steps down instead of cutting it out completely. This Market Pantry sparkling water is great! It's so nicely flavoured. Try it out -- they have tons of flavors.

Craft store time!

I picked some cool fabric from Pat Catans! It's this nice plaid sea-shell print for a summer project, dot candy, and the jellybean fabric that will be in the background of all my other things in this review! I'll use these for a lot of things, though.

Time for a little DIY!

This is a super cute cupcake box that you paint yourself! What will I make?

More DIY!

I originally had 4 of these, but I gave 1 to my aunt who went with us because she spent a lot of money on me and I'm so thankful for it! (By the time this is published, I'll only have 1 left!)

I also got paint, tape, and more stuff that I didn't include because it will be in later reviews or tutorials!

Thank you for reading!

Barbie Doll Makeover!

Hello everyone, my name is Ai and I love dolls!

I love everything about dolls! Dressing them up, creating lives for them to fulfill... It's so exciting! I love toys like dolls because you can convey your imagination through them.

But, I love making dolls look better and prettier than they already do! (If I can.) So, this week I tackled the newest hair trend... ombre hair!

Ombre hair is where the hair color ombres, or gradients, to a different color. Celebrities, fashionistas, almost everyone is doing it now! I was considering doing it once with my really long hair, too.

So, I wanted to make my favourite makeover Barbie (we're calling her Becky this time around), join in on the trend!

Say hello to Becky! And say goodbye to her platinum blonde boring hair...

Say hello to new Becky!! I dyed her hair with gel food coloring, styled it, and made her look perfect for this back to school doll look!

The ombre obviously wasn't amazingly obvious, or super well done... but it looks like a totally different doll's hair! I really liked the turn out color and using the gel food coloring, I'll be able to wash it out and play with it again.

I gave her hair a milkmaid braid because I love braids on ombre hair! It really shows the contrast of colors. I had to sew it onto her head, which I don't think was comfortable.

I also cut a bit out of my sweatpants to make her a handmade bow! I know it doesn't look good but I thought she needed something to match her cute school uniform.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed my Barbie's tranformation!
