Why you should reconsider using micro beaded soap

I've been a "big" fan of water life since I was tiny. Besides taking part in several movements to stop multiple environmental problems I recently started taking part in a new movement about the small little beads popular in face care products.

Microbeads are the small, tiny little plastic beads inside of face soaps. They're suppose to give an exfoliating effect but they've ended up causing a problem. Microbeads are very small and manage to slip through the water treatment facilities. That means they pour into the Great Lakes of the US and the ocean. The great lakes contain 20% of the world's fresh water supply and are being polluted by them.

Using ACV for Acne (part 2 - follow up!)

My face is slightly less covered in red mountains, but that's not because of the ACV...

Long story short time. I ended up going to the dermatologist because of how painful they were and he prescribed me medication. Before then the smell of ACV was getting a bit too-too much for me to handle. I was getting very little results of just slight redness reduction.

I'm going to say that the people who had ACV work for them were people with mild acne that was not caused by hormones. It makes sense that the chemicals inside of ACV would help your acne and help your skin cells but if you were like me with hormone caused acne I'd say forget it and don't waste the money.

Going to the dermatologist, though, was such a great decision! I got in very quickly and the doctor helped me right away. I'm on epiduo and two prescription medicines right now. Epiduo is drying out my skin really bad but that's apparently just a side effect that'll go away soon, so I'm not complaining too much.

So - the final verdict is no, AVC did not help my acne.

Edit: also, the dryness went away very very quickly and I got amazing results in general with the prescription medication and epiduo. I do not suggest AVC for skin like mine.

Games I've been playing this summer!

This summer I've been doing some RnR after going through lots of stuff personal. So whats the best way to do that besides playing games?
I play games on my iPad since my computer barely can run anything these days. Plus, it's easier on my eyes and hands.

Lets start with my favorite this year, School Idol Fetival!

Some of you may have watched the popular anime "Love Live". Did you know there was a game in Japan called School Idol Festival that actually fueled it's popularity?
This summer an English version was released to the rest of the world so we could get in on the action. Not only was that an incredible idea, 3 million people world wide now play School Idol Festival on a daily basis. Isn't that magical?

Here's the trailer, featuring two of the voice actresses!

When the game starts up you're taken to this screen
Some things may be different (like your idol you choose as your main, the event banner, your stats/inbox, etc) but this is the gist of the game. It's a tapping rhythm card game to Love Live's songs. (Also, usually you wouldn't have an N / normal card as your main  but... Hitomi. <3)

You can let your girls practice, you can "special practice" or idolize two of the same cards to get a different outfit, and you can view your group and kick some of them out.
These are my idols! I mostly have Rs, or rares. I only have two SR, or Super Rare cards. There's also URs, but they're very hard to get and usually only when you scout with money do you end up getting them - and even then it's iffy. Don't believe me? Check out this video.

After awhile you'll start a "live show", or the rhythm game part. You get your teams and do smile, pure, or cool songs with them.
Here's some game play!

You can get the English version of School Idol Festival in the google play store and app store.

The second game I've been playing a lot is ZombieGal Kawaii!
It's a scrolling shooter game where you play as a cute girl who knows how to fire a gun.

It's fairly simple so there's not a lot to say, and I haven't dabbled into co-op or too many of the shop options (they're ridiculous to get!)

You start out at a map screen, going through two types of levels - side scrolling to a goal and being butt-rushed by cute zombie girls. You have to play each level like you'd expect on the map to advance. You gain coins, gold, health, snowflake-ish things... and it's a lot of fun!

You can also spend tons of money in the shop customizing your girl, buying guns/weapons, etc... I haven't had much of a chance too since I'm not that interested. I just like the shooting part! (That sounded a bit to violent for me, oh goo)

The final game I've been playing way too much of is Defense Witches!
It's a simple tower defense game with, you guessed it, cute girls!

I've spent a lot more time looking at the lore of this game than Zombiegal Kawaii, it's just so adorable and frustrating I can't get enough!
You start out with only the witch Daisy on your team. She's a simple, small range attacking witch!

There's many other witches to choose from like Becky (the fire witch), Chloe (the lighting witch), Nicola (the ice witch) and so many more cute girls!

You choose your world, your level, and then you're off!

This is how you usually start out, with one girl already placed. Like most tower defense games you gain points (in this case, MP) and place more and more towers to defend your crystal.

Besides a few others, these are mostly the games that'll be preoccupying my summertime! Please consider checking them out!

(All of these are unbiased personal opinions!)

Using ACV ~ part 1

This summer I've been all about the DIY treatments for beauty. Imagine my "delight" when I got some bad acne.

So as I was searching around for a fun way to cure it - I decided to just try an old recipe my friends use to use.

ACV, or Apple cider vinegar, is an organic vinegar made from cider. It's rumored to have properties for weight loss, hair/nail strengthening, and acne curing.  The reason I say "rumored" and not proven is because it's not proven. Like a lot of organic, natural, DIY things it's usually up to how it works on the consumer /tester, which is why this is a 2 part blog post! In a month I'll  get back to you and tell you if it worked!

The brand I'm using is BRAGG's!
Even on the bottle (not shown) they're advertising for other health/organic recipes for other uses of ACV. Wowwy~!

My first thoughts when opening it was "wow there sure is a lot" and "wow this stuff smells so bad." It really, really stinks... It is vinegar though so I don't know what I expected.

Instead of ingesting it like some recipes tell you - I'm going to be using ACV as a toner.

The recipe I used was a 1:1 ratio of ACV and distilled water. And then, like a toner, you apply it to your face when you are done cleansing and let it dry before putting on serums or moisturizers. I haven't used anything besides cleansing or soothing toners until now.

My first try, I noticed it stings when you use the toner. The acidic properties of ACV are a bit stronger than I like - but only a day after and my skin is looking a bit less red. Hopeful hoping this is a sign!

I'll get back to you in a month with more results, and more DIY beauty tips until then!

Collages

Long time no sleep! Let's hope I can get back to blogging in a more frequent pattern, right?

Lately a lot has been going on in my life. I've been super stressed out so I've been desperate for ways to destress... But knowing me it has to be bright and happy.

So, I thought what's a good way to show all the things I love in one simple swoop swoop?
Scrapbooking? Maybe later. Painting? Haha, nah. Coloring books? Too typical.

What's a slime to do? How about some good old fashioned collages!

I'm back!

It's nice to see you all! I know I was gone for a really long time and I'm super super sorry!

My confidence has gone down so much over my short break though, so I really need to start blogging again so I can like myself.

A really quick reintroduction, I'm Ai Chuu! I'm a slimegirl who loves aomoji kei.
Much much much too much has happened since I took a break for my project back then. But for now I'm back full swing!
I'll be editing my blog tonight and today and start making posts for fridays! I think I'm going to stop project relife and just get back to doing reviews. I really like my life currently and it could get better, but it's not as bad as it was.
A lot of my opinions have changed, as they always do, so stay tuned!

Thank you for maintaining interest in me!
